Hugh, you have written a beautiful tribute to your wife of 45 years Helen. I have been fortunate to see over these many years your love, care, compassion, admiration, and support for each other. You are a great combo. Love the photo of Hugh and Helen. Keep the stories coming

So how come you’ve been watching us so closely for 45 years? Are yoou with the CIA?

Your story confirms what I've always said, the world needs more Helens.

Another great story, Hugh. I always knew that small women packed a punch (not literally of course!} My little sister is just a darling.

Thanks Dorothy.

I liked the “little sister” reference — and so did Helen!

Am so pleased you paid tribute to your Wife of 45yrs - little Helen, whom has always been by your side with her considered advice and incredible knowledge - let alone her willingness to help with all that comes your way.

You make a great team! Gay S.

Dear Gay, you are right about on thing: Helen has a lot of knowledge. She also always WANTS to support me. In fact, she has been keeping me alive for the last two years and four months. )she’s just now fixed the Foxtel connection on our TV!). She’s a bit of a Vic!

I wanted to tell you and Vic that that wool scarf yu gave me 5 years ago is incredible. My GP said I get very cold because you’re old” — so I even take it to bed and put it behind my back to keep warm.

Love Hugh

Any bigger, and her superpowers could not be contained - a five-foot Helen is a scary thought!

Hugh Lunn's avatar

Yes, Jim, that thought even scares me!

What's that expression?

"Behind every good man is a good woman"

Perhaps Helen should write a book, "Living with Hugh". Would be well received. Cheers

I’d have to edit it Denise — turning the tables on Helen.
